About the Green Design CenterThe Green Design Center was created in response to the growing demand from homeowners and contractors for home building and home improvement products that are green and healthy, and for design services with an expertise in green building products. We've been handling green, healthy and sustainable home building products and related design services for more than 10 years, selling products and offering design services to southeastern Wisconsin homeowners and contractors through our metropolitan Milwaukee retail store, and to dealers nationwide through our distributorship. We are keenly aware of what homeowners and contractors are looking for in green, healthy and sustainable products, and what products best meet those interests. That experience makes us unique. While other retailers only recently have responded to demands for green and healthy home building products, our many years in the business have given us a deep knowledge of not only products, but also of the best ways to apply and install them. Pace has become a nationally recognized expert on green and healthy building products. Along with being profiled in numerous publications, he has authored several articles about the construction of healthy homes and is a regular participant in forums and blogs on green and healthy home environments. A speaker on the regional and national level, Pace has lent his expertise to the Paint and Decorating Contractors Association, the Construction Specifications Institute, and the National Hardware Manufacturers Association, as well as numerous regional conferences and presentations. Pace has served on the board of the Wisconsin Green Building Alliance and is a two-time president of the Construction Specifications Institute-Milwaukee Chapter. |
