Nature’s Carpet uses the most sustainable and 100% natural, so they started with the most natural and renewable resource they could find: wool from sheep. Sheep produce wool over and over again without any harm to the environment. Using wool, Nature’s Carpet is ahead of 98% of the rest of the carpet industry, who use chemicals and inorganic materials to produce carpet.
Taking their method a step further, Nature’s Carpet created the Dark Green line of carpeting which uses natural rubber and jute as its backing fiber, which is similar to hemp. This carpet line are derived from fully sustainable, toxin free sources. Using these materials is important for anyone concerned with indoor air quality, such as those with asthma, allergies or Multiple Chemical Sensitivity.
What makes Nature’s Carpet Aberdeen collection so different from other carpets? Other carpets are made from nylon, polypropylene or polyester, in other words; oil. In fact, a gallon of oil is used to create just 3 square yards of traditional carpeting! By comparison, only a few cooperative sheep are necessary to create an equivalent amount of Nature’s Carpet. In addition, synthetic carpet can take up to 500 years to break down, while wool only takes 1-5 years to biodegrade, and when it does, it doesn’t add any harmful elements back to the earth. Moreover, carpet products that claim to use recycled material typically use less than 50% recycled content, with the remainder being synthetic products, treated with chemicals, which do not biodegrade. Nature’s Carpet comes from and can be returned to the earth.

Lead times can vary but typically in stock carpeting will ship within 1-2 business weeks, with approximately 3-8 days via freight truck which calls ahead to schedule a delivery appointment. Occasionally backordered carpeting is unknown until time of order.
